Beginning her journey in the healthcare industry in 1990, Jodie Martin soon discovered her love of natural medicine and the healing power of food. After becoming a nutritionist, Jodie turned her attention to plant-based, holistic diets which have seen her help an enormous number of clients. As the founder of Empirical Nutrition, she now aims to guide as many people as possible down the road to true health through nutritious, plant-based eating.
Jodie’s experience enables her to treat people suffering from food allergies and intolerance's including coeliac disease, lactose intolerance and fructose malabsorption. Other conditions including heart disease, high cholesterol (etc) can also be assisted through sound diet and lifestyle advice. She is also able to offer nutritional advice for women during pregnancy, or for those simply wishing to embrace a healthier outlook on food.
After numerous years of working alongside naturopaths, Jodie utilises a holistic and integrative approach, basing her diet plans around plant-based food which promotes optimum health and nutrition.

From here, we will create a customised 2-week plant-based diet plan, free from meat, dairy and other animal products. You will also receive recipe cards and a list of pantry staples to assist you in making the most informed choices when shopping.

During this hour-long consultation, you will work alongside our nutritionist, discussing your health history, allergies and intolerances in detail, allowing us to better understand your specific needs and requirements. This hour-long service is perfect for those looking to improve their general health and nutrition. Whether you are feeling unwell after meals, require nutritional advice around pregnancy or suffer from deficiencies, high cholesterol, diabetes or other modern ailment, our nutritionist will help guide you down the path of good dietary health. During an hour-long consultation, you will be asked a range of questions which will ascertain where deficiencies may lie, allowing us to create a nutritional prescription to assist in improving your health and alleviating your symptoms.
Following this initial consultation, there will be a half-hour follow up meeting, whereby we make any necessary adjustment to your plan and assess the best possible path forward.
